A new miniaturised, portable shower system for use in bed: a groundbreaking solution to the problems of maintaining hygiene for independent living for those with restricted mobility

Three million Europeans are unable to live independently due to ageing, disease, accidents or long-term disability. Not only is washing difficult for the patient getting in and out of bed, but it puts the healthcare professionals.
Aquabuddy, with its innovative domestic showers currently on the market, Aquabuddy Pro the professional portable shower for hospitals and the smaller Aquabuddy Home for nursing homes as well as caregiver in the patient’s home, improves both the quality of life of patients with low mobility and forced to bed, and that of health workers.
In addition to improving existing solutions, Aquabuddy researchers analyzed user activities to develop a new miniaturized, portable, lightweight, economical and ecological shower system.
